1914 Dairy Lecture Notes

I am indebted to the Rev Phil Cook, who has kindly shared with me these lecture notes, taken by a student at the Worleston Dairy Institute in 1914. The student, Christiana Mary Minshull (known as Chrissie), is his grandmother.

Hint: If you click on the image, it will be easier to read.

She got her certificate in Cheesemaking and Buttermaking Certificate:

and also a Certificate in Sick Nursing:

Her eldest sister, Ethel May Minshull 1894-1983 (Mrs Ern Huxley) was at Dairy Institute when George Fifth & Queen Mary visited in 1913. According to Auntie May, Queen Mary asked her why  colouring was put in the cheese and she replied,"To make it more appetizing."
